Fawaad is a seasoned technology executive with leadership experience spanning digital security strategy, technology architectures, and IT services management, including several large-scale, complex system implementations involving both custom and packaged software. He has extensive experience in assisting clients innovate and deliver stellar business performance using cloud, mobile and data analytics. Fawaad also has a deep understanding of multiple functional disciplines including roadmap and business case development, cyber security, custom and packaged software development, application and technology rationalization, infrastructure resiliency, and IT operations management.

Fawaad has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Relevant Experiences

►Led the design and implementation of cloud security, compliance, privacy, governance, in support of its IaaS and SaaS solutions for achievingISO-27001, SOCR 1/2/3, PCI and FedRAMP security certifications for its public cloud as it transitions from selling hardware and software products to cloud services.

►Performed due diligence for a leading, global enterprise software company interested in acquiring an IaaS provider as it transitions to becoming a cloud services provider. Analyzed the platform architecture for compute, networking, storage, security, physical datacenter attributes (power, cooling, etc), resiliency (SLA’s, backup, disaster recovery), managed service capabilities, ERP deployment capabilities, infrastructure costs, and future roadmap to provide an in depth assessment and recommendation to the company’s board of directors.

►Assisted a global manufacturer client in evaluating and contracting with the primary and secondary cloud services providers (CSP) for both the IaaS and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions for several of its mission critical applications, including the next generation telematics and biometrics applications. Oversaw team that developed a comprehensive set of detailed requirements for applications, compute, storage, network, security, service management, billing, tax & customs, contractual/legal, and risk management along with the decision analysis framework and CSP recommendations across all of its 6 regions globally.

►Developed an enterprise cloud and mobile security strategy, including the business case, IT operating/funding model, technology blueprint, and the 3-year roadmap for a large N. American retailer in support of its multi-billion dollar IT transformation program.

►Implemented a cloud-based, mobile global business intelligence (BI) solution to improve client’s ability to address quality issues with newly manufactured vehicles by enabling 65,000+ users to view, analyze, and make decisions using analytics on data coming from 75+ warranty systems and 30+ customer survey providers globally over both mobile (smart phones/tablets) and desktop devices.

►Performed a comprehensive technology, data and infrastructure assessment of a new high-volume, complex system that handles more than 70% of all US Medicare claims processed annually. Developed a prioritized list of recommendations to address gaps in the areas of scalability, capacity planning, performance testing, requirements management, regression testing, deployment, and customer operations.

►Developed the 5-year IT strategy, roadmap and the technology blueprint for designing and implementing a single ERP platform using best-of-breed cloud and hybrid solutions for the client’s 35 portfolio companies manufacturing globally.
